Patients with private or public insurance can use their private insurance card first, and then use their innoviCares savings card to cover a portion of the remaining costs, up to the difference in price between the original brand and generic medication.
Which of my patients would benefit most from innoviCares?
The innoviCares platform is available across Canada. It’s especially helpful for patients who are prescribed an original brand medication that may not want to change medications, those who are living on a budget, or both. Some original brand medications cost thousands of dollars, and the innoviCares savings card may help lower those costs so that you can work with your patient to choose the medications that best support their unique medical needs.
What should I tell my patients who have children or elderly parents about how to register their whole family for innoviCares?
Each innoviCares savings card is unique to an individual patient. If they'd like to register their children or elderly parents on the innoviCares platform, they'll need to individually register each member of their family. Only one card may be used for each individual patient.
